In chapter 2 Victor experiences a tree blown to smithereens,except in his perception they looked like thin ribbons of wood.When victor saw that they looked like that,he then became more curious.Victor started to study more about science and electricity.It turns out that his experience with the lightning and the tree,was his turning point.
